More info

Oticon Opn™ is built on the new Velox™ platform, which processes sound at extreme speed to remove distracting noise, even between words, so that Opn™ users can easily follow conversation even in environments with multiple people speaking, such as crowded restaurants. Opn™ connects directly to mobile devices and other external devices with just a tap of the fingertips, streaming audio directly to the hearing aids. Opn™ is also the world’s first hearing device that is connected to the Internet of Things.

FEATURES:

  • Made for iPhone (MFi): Streams audio directly from selected iPhones, iPods, and iPads into your hearing aids.
  • Internet-connected: Can be connected to 'This Then That' (IFTTT) cloud network. Allows hearing aids to connect and receive notification from compatible everyday electronic devices. For example, the hearing aid can notify you when someone rings the front door bell and alert you if your home security alarm goes off.
  • OpenSound Navigator™: The two hearing aids work together to scan and rebalance sounds in the environment to help the brain focus in on the person you want to hear in a noisy situation, whilst maintaining an overall awareness of your environment so you can switch focus to hear somebody else if required.
  • Spatial Noise Management: The two hearing aids compare speech and noise levels before focusing on the hearing aid where there is greater speech compared to noise to help reduce listening effort.
  • Wind Noise Management: Dampens wind noise when outdoors to reduce listening effort and improve speech understanding.
  • Soft Speech Booster LX: Provides a boost to quiet high-frequency sounds to improve speech clarity and understanding for softly spoken people.
  • Speech Guard™ LX: The hearing aid provides more amplification for medium and loud speech in quiet to reduce listening effort and improve speech understanding, before reducing the level of loud sounds when in background noise for better listening comfort.
  • Spatial Sound™ LX: The hearing aids synchronise certain features to more accurately locate and separate different sounds in the environment to provide better spatial (3D) awareness.
  • YouMatic™ LX: Can compare different sound profiles and select the most preferred for a better and more personalised sound quality.
  • Binaural Processing: The hearing aids exchange information to more accurately locate and separate different sounds in the environment to provide better spatial (3D) awareness.
  • Binaural Coordination: Volume adjustments and program changes made on one hearing aid are automatically transferred to the opposite hearing aid.
  • Binaural Phone Operation: Telephone conversation is automatically streamed into both hearing aids simultaneously to boost speech understanding.
  • Transient Management: Instantly dampens sudden loud sounds that occur in the environment so that they are not uncomfortable.
  • TwinLink™: Combines two distinct radio technologies in an innovative wireless communication system; features one technology to support seamless, energy-efficient binaural communication between two hearing aids (NFMI) and one to support communication with external electronic and digital devices (2.4 GHz).
  • Extended Bandwidth: A boost of high-frequency sound up to 10 kHz to provide more crispness and brightness to music.
  • Feedback Shield LX: Eliminates unwanted whistling from the hearing aid.
  • Manual Adaptation Manager: The hearing aid can be manually increased in volume by set amounts gradually over a specified period of time to help listeners gradually adapt and acclimatise to wearing them.
  • Auto Adaptation Manager: The hearing aid can gradually increase in volume automatically over a specified period of time to help listeners gradually adapt and acclimatise to wearing them.
